Marlin families,

We’re kicking off our annual Swim-A-Thon, our Booster Club’s largest fundraiser of the year. Last year, we earned $19,000. This year, our goal is $30,000!!!  That's a big number,  but I know we can reach that.

Why is this fundraiser necessary?

The KMSC Booster Club has big dreams of how it can best support King Marlin Swim Club, its swimmers, and families. Currently, we are able to fund scholarships to swimmers who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford the sport, host, and fund local competitions, offer financial aid to families in trying times, pay relay fees for various meets, organize and host social events, provide gifts to our graduating seniors, and offer travel assistance. We hope to increase our support and be able to provide equipment to support our Lighthouse practice facility. 

How do I participate?

Begin by spreading the word and asking potential donors to sponsor your swimmer. There are two ways to do so:  (Note:  We are not running this campaign through Team Unify this year,  it will be a letter campaign and online donations only.  We will send weekly updates.)

• Join the letter campaign: It may seem old-fashioned to you, but the letter campaign is a HUGE success. We will pass packets out that contain pre-printed letters.
  • Print a letter including your name & signature and include a self-addressed envelope. Then mail them to friends, family, neighbors, your long-time dentist, your favorite family restaurant, and so on. The more letters you send, the better the results!
• Spread the word via social media: KMSC Boosters will post a campaign on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, you can repost those campaigns.

Do I have to participate?

Our goal is to achieve 100% participation. Join us! All monies that you collect for the Swim-A-Thon will go toward your Fundraising Commitment, which is $100 per family (from March 31st -April 21st ). This is one of the easiest ways to knock out your Fundraising Commitment for the year. (KMSC Swim School families are exempt from the Fundraising Policy but are encouraged to attend!)

When’s the deadline for collecting donations?

To be eligible for the prizes, donations must be made or collected by April 21st. Any donation made through April 21st will count toward your Fundraising Commitment.
